Cookie Policy

Draft version 0.1-draft · Draft date: 16 July 2026 · Status: DRAFT — not yet legally reviewed

This draft explains what Waggy stores in your browser and which third parties may set cookies when you use specific features. Waggy currently uses NO advertising cookies and NO third-party analytics.

How to read the highlights in this draft:

[PLACEHOLDER: …] — a company fact that does not exist yet (Waggy is not yet registered). Nothing here is invented.

[LEGAL REVIEW / PRODUCT DECISION: …] — an open question that Belgian legal counsel (or a product decision) must resolve.

1. What we store in your browser (first party)

  • waggy_token (localStorage) — your login session token. Strictly necessary for staying signed in. Removed on logout.
  • Language preference (localStorage) — remembers your chosen interface language (nl-BE / fr-BE / de-BE / en). Strictly necessary for the chosen experience.

These are localStorage entries, not tracking cookies; they are never used to profile you and are not shared with third parties.

2. Third-party cookies (feature-dependent)

  • Stripe — when payment elements load, Stripe may set cookies strictly necessary for payment security and fraud prevention (e.g. __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid).
  • Daily.co — when you join an audio/video call, Daily may use storage necessary to run the call session.

These third parties act as described in the Privacy Policy (Section 6).

3. What we do NOT use

  • No advertising or retargeting cookies.
  • No third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no similar trackers).
  • No cross-site tracking or data selling.

5. Managing storage

You can clear localStorage and cookies via your browser settings at any time; you will be signed out and language preference resets.

Reminder: this document is a DRAFT.

It requires Belgian legal review before public launch and is shown during the private beta for transparency only. The highlighted placeholders above are intentionally visible and unresolved.
