Waggy Protection is a booking support promise, not an insurance product. It does not guarantee compensation in every situation.
How provider verification works
Every provider on Waggy goes through a verification process before they can accept bookings:
Identity check
Providers submit an official ID document. Waggy reviews it and confirms who they are.
Safety review
Providers submit a recent criminal-record extract for review. Only the outcome is stored — documents are never shown to other users.
Admin approval
The Waggy team reviews every profile before it becomes visible to owners.
Look for the “Verified” badge on provider profiles.
Secure payments
You pay through Waggy
Payments are handled securely by Stripe. Waggy never stores your card details.
Your payment is held
The provider payout is not released while the booking is in progress.
Payout after completion
The provider is only paid out after the service flow is completed.
Refund review
If something goes wrong, Waggy can review refund and dispute cases for bookings paid through Waggy.
Why you should only pay through Waggy
If you pay outside Waggy (cash, bank transfer, payment apps), Waggy cannot help you:
- No payment protection — your money is not held safely
- No refund or dispute review by Waggy
- No payout accountability for the provider
- Limited incident support — bookings outside Waggy are invisible to us
Off-platform payments are not protected by Waggy.

Waggy Protection is a booking support promise, not an insurance product. Waggy does not guarantee compensation for every incident, loss or refund request — each case is reviewed individually. Protection never applies to payments made outside Waggy.
